A Lesson Before Dying

Students have been given a study guide for A Lesson Before Dying. We are completing this in class in preparation for the final test over the summer reading novel. This test will be given on Thursday, September 3rd. They will be handing in the study guide for credit the day of the class.

Grammar Lessons - Verbs

Students will be given a set of mini-lessons to complete as a class over the next couple weeks. Students will be tested over this material on verbs on Friday, September 11th. They will be expected to hand in the mini-lessons at that time.

Unit 1 Vocabulary

Students are expected to complete the Unit 1 vocabulary assignments from the book on their own time over the next two weeks. Please be prepared to hand in the work pages and take the test on Friday, September 4th.

Animal Farm

Students are presenting their Animal Farm Life Box project to the class this week. Students will be tested over the novel on Wednesday, August 26th.

Writer's Notebook

Students will be using a writer's notebook over the course of the school year. This notebook will be kept in the room. Please bring a writer's notebook to class by Tuesday, August 25th so we may begin using them.
